梅ぼし(ume-boshi) is a very Japanese food. They are stored at almost all Japanese homes. It is so sour, just looking at them for a while makes you salivate.

Japanese consume umeboshi so often. The reason is not only for the taste. It is believed that umeboshi has health benefits: helping digestion, fighting bacteria, improving blood condition.

The umeboshi made by JAめぐみの(JA Megumino) is reliable quality. They do not use any food additives: food preservative, food artificial coloring.

All ume plums they use are from Gujo local farmers. The all ingredients are 梅(ume plum), 赤紫蘇(aka-jiso, red perilla leaves) and 塩(shio, salt).
