Kasuga Shinmei-jinja, Shinto shrine

There is the 600-year-old cherry tree in the Kasuga Shinmeiijinja, which is 1 kilometer south of Aioi Station of the Nagaragawa Tetsudou railway.
Locals know that it brooms the earliest of all cherry trees in Gujo-Hachiman region in spring. It is a dignified tree with robust roots and branches. The local people treasure the tree as the symbol for the region.
